REACH’s community outreach focuses on providing San Francisco Bay Area communities with educational workshops regarding sustainability and energy conservation, and providing donations and subsidies for products and services that promote sustainability and energy conservation.
REACH Workshops
REACH develops workshops specific to the communities attending the workshops. The goal of each workshop is to help communities understand how to leverage energy efficient technology, save money on utility bills, build resilience, grow the green marketplace, reduce carbon footprints, share the earth’s resources and promote sustainability and energy conservation.
We have curriculum for students, grades k-12, green contractors in training, homeowners, businesses, building managers and much more. We work with each REACH community partners to sculpt curriculum that is appropriate to their audience. The goal is to create an environment that will be engaging and empower the community to adopt a greener lifestyle. Workshops are geared to be interactive, where attendees can learn from the collective experience of the group as well as from the instructor. Often times, REACH will invite guests who specialize in a certain field to help educate communities about a specific topic of interest, like LED lighting, solar, rebates or green business programs. REACH Donations and Subsidies
REACH offers donations and subsidies to organizations such as schools, nonprofits & municipalities who are focused on sustainability. The money these organizations save on their utility bills gets reinvested back into the communities they are trying to help. In exchange for the donation and subsidy, these organizations invite REACH to host an energy conservation and sustainability workshop for their community. Not only does the organization benefit from the energy savings associated with the donation or subsidy, but their community benefits from learning about how they can adopt energy conservation and sustainability into their own lives.
